Continuous, real-time insight into aquifer conditions and trends
Smart monitoring of groundwater level and quality
SpaceEcho provides automated monitoring stations with sensors and data loggers that continuously measure groundwater level and water quality. Data reaches EchoCloud in real time, for continuous monitoring of aquifer conditions and trends, with live well-level tracking on the EchoCloud dashboard.
Inside every station
- Solar power system
- Powers the station for continuous, reliable operation in remote locations.
- Data logger and communication
- Transmits data via GSM and Ethernet to EchoCloud.
- Weather protection enclosure
- IP65-rated, protecting the equipment from dust, rain and harsh environments.
- Built-in battery
- Backup power for uninterrupted operation during low sunlight or power fluctuations.
- Water quality probe (LEVELINE)
- Installed in the well to measure water quality parameters in real time.
On EchoCloud, every station adds real-time monitoring, cloud connectivity, smart alerts, and historical data and reports.

Data acquisition
ECHO-Gateway — cloud-enabled IoT data logger
The core of every station. It acquires sensor data, stores it locally, and pushes it to EchoCloud over whichever communication path is available on site.

EchoHub-485 — sensor expansion
A plug-and-play RS-485 expansion module with 8 sensor ports per unit, daisy-chainable up to 120 sensors across multiple hubs, with up to 1000 m of cable run per sensor.
Piezometric level probes and water-quality sensors connect directly into any EchoHub-485 port for continuous level and quality monitoring.

Field configurations
Wells and stations are combined in three field-proven configurations, for different observation and assessment requirements.
Single station — localized monitoring
Monitors conditions at a specific observation well, providing site-specific data and identifying local variations over time.

Profile station — directional monitoring
Uses a series of aligned observation wells and stations to track groundwater changes along a defined direction, supporting analysis of groundwater movement and seawater intrusion.

Grid station — spatial mapping
Deploys observation wells and monitoring stations across a defined area to capture spatial variations and generate detailed, high-resolution groundwater contour maps.

In the field
At the Hawara archaeological site in Fayum, Egypt, nine SpaceEcho stations have monitored groundwater since 2020, including infiltration and flooding inside the pyramid itself.
