In 2020 SpaceEcho installed nine monitoring stations at the Hawara archaeological site in Fayum, Egypt, with the support of international and national organizations. They track groundwater and subsurface water, surface water around the Bahr Wahba canal, and conditions inside and around the pyramid.
In 2020, SpaceEcho installed nine specialised monitoring stations at the Hawara archaeological heritage site in Fayum, Egypt, with the support of international and national organizations.

The Hawara Pyramid is threatened by rising groundwater and environmental change that endanger its structure. Protecting it means knowing, continuously, what the water is doing beneath and around it — and how conditions inside the pyramid are changing.
Nine stations, spread across the site, each covering one part of the picture.
The site has a continuous record of groundwater, subsurface water and environmental conditions in and around the pyramid — the data needed to study the site and to plan conservation against water damage.
